Long Live Random Rock
I’ve been spending most of my time on this website sticking up some bootleg goodness, and I haven’t been doing the random rock ‘n roll jumble that I created this website to do. How about I change that? Yeah, I think so. This new podcast digs into some of my favorite tracks from some awesome [...]

The Big Four
The hoopla surrounding The Big Four show in Indio may have died down already, but for those of us that were there…let’s just say that the hype will never die. It was a historical evening, and to bearing witness to this history was worth the six hour drive, the expensive tickets, the eight hours on [...]

Cover Songs? Why the Fuck Not?
I realized something while I was listening to tunes one day. There really are a LOT of cover songs out there. If you think about it, musicians have been covering the songs of other musicians forever. It’s nothing new, but sometimes it can be a lot of fun. It puts a new twist on a [...]
It’s A New Year And It’s Time To Return
Kids, it’s been too long since I’ve done this. I can’t even explain how much I love doing this. To be able to have a place to share tunes, and chat a little about them is all I could ever ask for. I know there’s people out there that listen to this, and I thank [...]
Time to Return to the Random
Welcome once again to the Rock ‘N Roll Asylum! This time around, I’m done with tribute shows and I’m going back to what I have the most fun doing – bringing out a variety of tunes from different and unique artists, but this time I’m keeping it in the predominantly metal realm. Fair warning. P.S. [...]
Rock ‘N Roll Asylum is Upping the Irons!
Hello boys and girls! I took a few weeks off while mourning the loss of the late, great King of Rock ‘N Roll, but I decided no better time to come back than right before I am set to see the legendary Iron Maiden in concert. June 17th is the date here in sunny, hotter-than-hell [...]
Rest in Peace, Ronnie James Dio.
With a heavy heart and a frown on my face, I pay tribute to one of metal’s greatest voices, the one and only Ronnie James Dio. Ronnie succumbed to his cancer in the early hours of May 16, 2010. There is so much to say about Dio. He has forged a long legacy of music [...]
Rock ‘N Roll Asylum Celebrates!
Hello again my rock ‘n roll maniacs! This week I’m giving you an entire show dedicated to the Joey Belladonna-era Anthrax. Why? Well, unless you’ve been living under a rock when it comes to metal news, Belladonna is back again in the Anthrax fold and I am COMPLETELY. FUCKING. EXCITED. Move over, John Bush. It’s [...]

The next installment of the Rock ‘N Roll Asylum is ready for you.
Welcome once again my rockin’ friends. I’m your host Sara and I’m back with another installment of the Rock ‘N Roll Asylum. For this edition I decided to spice it up a bit more since last time I was mostly in speed/thrash metal mode. I’m still keeping it metal this week, but that might change [...]

Rest in Peace, Dime.
December 8th of 2004. That’s a day I’ll never forget. It’s the day music forever changed for me. One of my ultimate heroes, Dimebag Darrell, was gone. There’s no need to go into specifics about the events because we all know what happened. It was nothing short of a tragedy. Darrell was someone I looked up to and someone I could relate to. He was a regular guy that was given a gift to entertain the masses. He didn’t seem much different than me…
